Welcome to Evansville, a sleepy Texas town on the verge of a boom.
After growing up in a dying town, with only two restaurants, no movie theater, and no future, waitress Cassidy Simon wants out. For once, luck is on her side when the oil boom comes to South Texas. She’s determined to use it for her advantage, starting up an RV park for the oilfield workers to add to her escape fund. She’s never been out of Texas, and she’s itching for adventure.
Grady McKenna couldn’t get away from his family’s ranch fast enough when he was a teenager, but a tour in the Air Force in the Middle East is enough to convince him there’s no place like home. He’s seen the world, had his adventure. Now he’s ready to contribute to his family’s legacy in Evansville.
Naturally, the woman who draws his attention is the one intent on slipping through his fingers. How can he convince her life with him will be all the adventure she needs?

I belong to BookBub.... and this book was offered to me as a freebie. Since I'd never heard of this author before, I came here to check out the reviews before I downloaded it. What I found was review after review, saying that there were a lot of grammar errors, and it needed a lot of editing. BUT despite the reviews, I thought I'd take a chance anyway.Now.... I don't know if the author had an editor come in and change all the errors since those reviews were written, but I didn't see any of the errors all these reviewers were talking about. Don't get me wrong....there may have been some that I just didn't notice, but I thought this book was really great!
I thought the story was well written, and the dialogue between all the characters involved was very natural. The characters were well developed, and the plot line was excellent. The story brought out so many different emotions in me, way more than I would have expected, in fact. There were a few twists and turns in the story that I didn't see coming, or expect. The story itself seemed to flow so effortlessly, and it kept me interested all the way through to the very end.
Grady was a total gem, and a real gentleman right to the very end. Who else would have reached out to his friends grieving widow and their son, in their time of sorrow. And he had so much patience with Cassidy, even though she continually tried to push him, and everyone else who tried to get close to her, away. I could understand way she did it. Really I can. She already had more than her fair share of crap to deal with mother's antics, but that doesn't mean I didn't want to shake her a few times.
I loved Maggie, Hollywood, and even Grady's parents. Sage on the other hand...she was so rude and condescending. I wanted to punch her out more times than not. And while I felt sympathy for Trace for what his wife did to him, he could be a real nasty idiot, too.
I was so impressed with this book, I've just downloaded the next two books in this series.

Waltz Back to Texas Love in a Boom Town 1 - R
Violence none
Language <95 swears, including deity
Sex promiscuous and druggy character, descriptive kissing, roaming hands, detailed sex about 75% in that's easily skipped (just go to the end of that chapter).
A story about a very emotionally wounded, but amazingly strong and resilient h, and a cowboy with a bit of a hero complex that falls for her. I liked it, but totally could have done without all the sex.
A stand alone read with a HEA. I read this in a box set back in March, 2016. It is set in small town Texas. The heroine is the daughter of the town drunk. No father in sight. She took a lot of abuse from the rich girl in town because of her mother. But she survived and today she is a waitress in a local diner. She also inherited the land from her grandfather and she has set a small portion up with RVs and rents them to the oilfield workers. Right now it is giving her income and a hope for getting out of the small town. The mother is living with her and is the town's drunk as well as the RVs good time girl. She is in her early 40's so she is still a looker except for the damage drinking and smoking has done to her. She is the albatross around her daughter's neck.
One of the son's from the wealthy family in town is back from serving in the military. He is yummy. One gorgeous, sexy cowboy. He comes into her diner and orders lunch. She recognizes him from school days, he is a few years older than her. He is something else but way out of her league and the big minus is the fact that he is the brother to the girl that bullied her in school, still treats her like trash and definitely no love lost between them.
This is a good story. I enjoyed it and found it very entertaining. I especially liked the hero. I would definitely recommend it.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 1/23/18
This book lacked any kind of depth of character and storyline. Very poor writing and totally rushed. There was really no depth to the relationship between the main characters, it was all purely physical. I would definitely not recommend this book to anyone. Save your time and money.
I picked this book up because, like the heroine, my family owned an RV park in a south Texas boom town, and I was curious to see how this situation was depicted. Cassidy spent her time on her other job as a waitress and didn't ever seem to do anything for her business but collect money. I know it takes time and effort to manage an RV park and her profit level seemed excessive. I loved Grady, but I got impatient with Cassidy and her determination to leave her hometown. I was confused on the geography of this fictional town--at different places in the book, it seemed that Evansville was close to Alice and to Seguin, which aren't that close together. One character's name fluctuated from Liz to Liv, and overall closer editing would have improved the story.
Too much sex, drinking and bad language
